Kelly was a happy soul. Her laugh and smile would brighten even the darkest of rooms. She touched the heart of every person who ever met her. She loved her family, but was known to reply "no you don't" when they said " I love you", and then everyone would break out into laughter, because they knew that she was carrying on a special joke of hers. Kelly also loved to help with household chores, especially laundry. She could often be found waiting patiently for the washer and dryer to complete their cycle. Kelly's sisters have fond memories of playing pretend "mother and baby" with her sisters, mimicking their own mother, Carolyn, by lovingly putting her sisters to bed like children. Giving them hugs and tucking them in, then gently saying "time to go to sleep, good night". As soon as she left the room, they would jump on the bed and laugh and yell, only to have Kelly burst back into the room scolding them "get back in bed!" This often went on for hours! Memorable moments and achievements: Kelly loved music, especially country music. When the song "Achy Breaky Heart" came out in 1992, by Billy Ray Cyrus, Kelly quickly learned the words and just days before she passed, from her hospital bed she was smiling and trying to sing that song while bopping her head back and forth.
The family would like to thank Grand Slam Residential for all they did to support Kelly and her family. Providing her a safe, clean environment and Angels with big hearts who cared deeply for her. Special thanks to owner Mark Davis, house manager Kendall plus Kelly and family's favorite caregiver Talite!
